Book Review: Passage

★★★☆☆ 3 / 5

Good plot, but way too long. The first 35 chapters could have easily been reduced to about twenty without losing any major plot points. Adding meat around the narrative is good, but this novel takes it far beyond my tolerance level.

The writing style is not bad, but definitely “modern” in that the text is mostly written as dialogue between the characters.

The final act is definitely the best part of the book, but the ending was a bit too happy for my taste. All in all, it’s not a bad book, but it’s just not worth the time it requires to read it to the end.
